The 2026 Coachella Festival celebrated 25 years of music and art. Headliners included a mix of genres, with electronic music to pop and Latin music. Justin Bieber’s highly anticipated set has already sparked attention, with some fans emotional at the expertise of the performance while others describe it as one of his worst. Bieber sang along to his iconic hits and played the music videos in the background. Fox News even noted, “At one point Katy Perry poked fun at the moments in between YouTube searches.” Karol G made history as the first ever Latina to headline the annual festival.
This year, the festival also showcased emerging artists and interactive art which offered a diverse range of attendees and experiences beyond the main stages. The Los Angeles Times says “Five artists have left indelible marks on Coachella’s 25-year history, from Emek’s psychedelic posters to the 36-foot “Escape Velocity” astronaut that roams the festival”. The festival is very selective and only admits 10-12 artists each year to have a chance to create a large-scale showpiece. Despite some concerns about ticket pricing, Coachella has gone another year remaining a cultural phenomenon, setting several trends in music and style.
