Starbucks introduced new Energy Refreshers nationwide on April 7th, in the classic refresher flavors that customers know and love. Customers can now enjoy Refreshers in three different forms: Caffeine-Free, Light Caffeine (Standard), Extra Caffeine (Energy Refresher).

The traditional Refreshers used to contain 25-100 mg of caffeine, depending on what size. The same drink can still be purchased, just under a new name: Light Caffeine. Energy Refreshers contain 100-175 mg of caffeine, giving customers an extra jolt the next time they go to grab their favorite flavor.

While the increase in caffeine levels may be alarming, USA Today explained, “The drinks are made naturally with a blend of Vitamin B and caffeine.”

Mango flavoring appears to be a new trend this spring, with a new Mango Cold Foam on the menu. This can be paired with any drink to add a fruity element to traditional beverages. Mango Strawberry Refreshers are also here to stay year round, available in classic, lemonade, and coconut milk versions.

Starbucks Senior Vice President of Global Product Experience ensures that all new menu additions are healthy and fresh. “We are proud to use natural ingredients without compromise. We want to make sure we can give customers choices they feel good about.”

As the weather starts to warm, refresh and hydrate with new “refreshing” drinks and flavoring options, available at local Starbucks across Sussex County.
