The Philadelphia Eagles faced the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, September 21. The game was expected to be a nail-biter between the two very talented teams. The Eagles fell to the Rams for the entire first half of the game but came back from halftime with a new mindset.
Cape sophomore Anne Gutschall says, "I thought the game was over after the first quarter. The offensive side of the ball was nonexistent."
Philadelphia scored 26 points in the second half to defeat the Los Angeles Rams 33 to 26. Seven of these points came in the last three seconds of the game. With three seconds left, the Rams attempted a field goal to get back from being a point behind the Birds. As the kick went up, Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis blocked the kick, scooped the ball, and then took it to the end zone for a touchdown, locking down their 33 to 26 win.
