This past Tuesday, President Donald Trump attended the United Nations General Assembly and gave a lengthy speech criticizing the countries' laws on migration and climate justice, leaving the Assembly speechless and worried for America.
"What is the purpose of the United Nations?" He asked before adding, "For the most part, at least for now, all they seem to do is write a really strongly worded letter and then never follow that letter up. It's empty words and empty words don't solve war."
When discussing immigration, Trump accused the UN of funding an assault on the United States for insufficient migration controls and expressed that fear of being detained has been a good defense for US borders.
Trump expressed his judgement of immigration acceptance, "You want to be politically correct, and you're destroying your heritage."
Eventually, Trump moved onto calling climate change, "the greatest con job ever perpetrated in the world." Trump’s speech asserted that efforts to combat climate change by the UN were a hoax; "All of these predictions made by the United Nations and many others, often for bad reasons, were wrong," he claimed. "They were made by stupid people."
